Mustang's MD1127 constant wear life jacket is designed for pilots, passengers, and other people flying over water in helicopters, light aircraft, float planes, and long range patrol aircraft for flotation protection in the event of emergency water landings.

Unique to the MD1127 is an inflatable cell that is comprised of two independent chambers, separated by a fully integrated floating baffle system. This provides for an orally inflated reserve chamber in the event that the primary chamber becomes damaged. FAA (Federal Aviation Adminstration) approved, the MD1127 is lightweight and designed for constant wear and comfort. The unit is manually inflated and delivers 37lbs of buoyancy and is made with a fire-resistant cover.

Use only Mustang Survival re-arm kits. Use of other re-arm kits may result in improper operation or failure to operate and will void the product's warranty.

The MD1127 is a manual-only inflatable lifejacket approved for aviation use in Canada. An end user can perform basic servicing to the unit, including the replacement of CO₂ cylinders. As this is a specialized product for the aviation community, our network of dealers do not keep stock of the product.

These units are built in accordance with the design approved by Transport Canada, the Approval of Product does not expire. The certificate issued does not have an expiry date.

The User is responsible for maintaining and inspecting the MD1127 as per our owner's Manual (PA-3007). It is not clear as to the frequency of inspection and what inspections or tests need to be done.

The User needs to show evidence that the units are being maintained and inspected in accordance with the MD1127 Owner's Manual. These can be records they keep when they perform the tests or inspection records issued by Mustang when they send them to us for inspection or repair. When a Transport Canada officer audits their facility they will look for these records. The full inspection should consist of the following in addition to the test in the owner's manual:

• Bladder Proof Pressure Test @ 5.0 psig for 15 minutes
• 6 Hour leakage test @ 2 psig
• Inspection of inflator piercing pin
• Inspection of oral valve locking rings
