The EXFIL SAR tactical helmet exists as a type of hybrid. The demonstrated tactical superiority of the original EXFIL and EXFIL Ballistic helmets has now been adapted for search and rescue work. :: Specifications

  • Meets the requirements of the EN1385:2012 Standard for Whitewater Helmets
  • The helmet meets the Advanced Combat Helmet blunt impact requirements (as per the AR/PD 10-02 Rev A)
  • Meets the requirements of the Standard for Mountaineering Helmets
  • The Team Wendy EXFIL SAR Backcountry helmet also meets the added high-level off-crown impact requirements of the EN 14052:2012 European standard, which is for high-performance industrial helmets.
  • Please note that the EN 14052 certification does call for a low-strength chinstrap. Because of this, the Team Wendy EXFIL® SAR Backcountry helmet has not been fully certified to EN14052
  • This has been done in order to meet the more rigorous chinstrap requirements of EN12492 and to reduce the risk of losing the helmet in the event of a fall
  • The Team Wendy EXFIL SAR Backcountry helmet is able to fit the following head circumference range: 20-7/8" - 24-3/4" (53.005 - 62.865 cm)
  • The helmet is able to fit the following hat sizes: (USA) 6-5/8 - 7-7/8; (English size) 6 1/2 - 7 3/4; (Metric sizes) 53 - 63
  • The helmet comes in a single size
  • Helmet weight: 1.4 pounds (.635 kg) single size backcountry with no rails included; 1.59lbs (0.72 kg) single size backcountry which includes rails.

  • Contains a high-cut shell design with clearance for ear protection and communications headsets
  • Comes equipped with a high strength Lexan polycarbonate copolymer shell
  • Integrated Shroud – this is a glass-reinforced polycarbonate shroud insert which can be used for mounting cameras and lights
  • Helmet Retention System – this is a sport-style retention system with a Fidlock® magnetic buckle which allows for easy one-handed operation
  • Helmet Liner System – specially-made Zorbium® foam comfort liners come in two thicknesses and are made with a Microban® anti-microbial treated wicking fabric
  • The helmet contains an aluminum Wilcox insert for mounting various night vision and lights
  • Team Wendy EXFIL® SAR Backcountry helmet has a strap pass-through in the back which can be utilized in order to accommodate headlamps or goggle straps
  • The new Boa® Closure System has been integrated into the helmet liner allow for an optimized stability and fit. This, along with cam-lock sliders on the straps, also offers tightening and loosening adjustment and a quick release
  • On either side is the Team Wendy SAR Accessory Rail 2.0 system. It allows for several mounting options, such as a section of Picatinny rail
  • Two removable crown vent covers are included and are standard
  • Colors offered: White, Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, Hi-Viz Green, and United States Coast Guard Orange
